Starting as a teenager, I have always loved jewelry and most of all, rings, to ornate my hands ! I was enjoying crafting fantasy rings as an hobby back then and my family members, friends and neighbors have been my first customers!
Growing up, as I wandered around jewelery shops, I realised that original, colourful, of good quality but also at reasonable prices rings were not always easy to find.
I just wanted something out of the box and affordable! Well, finding items fitting my personality has been quite the journey...
And you know what they say, if you want something done well, do it yourself.
This is how Whakapaïpaï was born, from my passion for rings (and jewelery in general) that are out of the ordinary. The idea behind my brand is to offer :
Making girls and women feel special and beautiful, sharing my tastes for colours and shapes with you is what motivates me.
Thus I would love to read your feedbacks about the items you purchase!
Now, why this name ?
Simply because I was looking for a funny-sounding name and it seems that whakapaïpaï means "to beautify" in Maori,
and rings beautify the hands of the women who wear them... I figured that was the perfect and original word for my original business :)
And why a funny name for a shop that sells silver rings ?
Well, to get off the beaten track and break the marketing codes of the jewelery industry (no less!).
And now the question that's on your mind the most : how do you pronounce Whakapaïpaï?
